It's been forever since I've posted. The weather here in Alaska turned beautiful on May 1st and has been amazing every day since!! So, I haven't been inside much for a while. Plus, we've started down the potty training road with my son! He's caught on fast and although I may be tooting my horn a little early, it looks like after just two short days, we have a successful potty using boy! ;O)
My step-mom's mother embroidered a really cute owl onto a t-shirt for my son (his initials happen to be O.W.L-so we call him "Hoot") and I wanted to send her a thank-you. So, I took some time out of the sun and made this card for her. I started out using a Mojo Monday sketch, but it didn't turn out looking like it in anyway!! That seems to happen to me a lot lately!! ;O)
For the front I used Perfect Day Level 2 paper with Cocoa and Tulip cardstock along with Tulip, Cocoa, Chocolate, Creme Brulee, and Juniper inks. The owl and branch are from the Whoo Loves You stamp set, the leaves from Treasure Life, and the sentiment is from You're a Hoot. I also used Dew Drops from the Bird's Nest, CTMH pewter brads (for the eyes) and stickles on the branch (they're hard to see).

Last One....I Swear (kind of!)
O.k., so I am totally stuck on the Emporium Creative Basics paper (and the ribbon that comes with it) and the Butterfly Wings stamp set. I swear this is the last one, well, at least for a while! ;O) I used Crystal Blue, Sweet Leaf, Vineyard Berry, and Colonial White Cardstock. Everything is stamped in Vineyard Berry ink and I used both Robin's Nest Dew Drops, various sparkles, and a flower sparkle from a former CTMH Connections Club reward program. This is going to be for my aunt, although her birthday was the beginning of the month!! How bad is that! I used the Mojo Monday sketch from February 16th for inspiration!

Summer is on its way...
Cardstock-White Daisy and Clover Meadow
Stamps-Rustic Alpha, Summer Sweetness, and Journaling Jots
Robin's Nest Dew Drops in Hydrqangia (I swear that's how its spelled) and Liquid Glass to make the seeds shiny
I had soooo much fun with this sketch from Paper Craft Planet. It's totally out of my box to use circles, let alone all of this empty space. But it was such a blast!! Susanna's sketches are typically pretty simple, but usually require me to do something I'm not used to doing. I have really enjoyed every one of them and look forward to doing more. Now, if I could only do them on time and get them loaded on the Paper Craft Planet website to prove I'm participating!!! ;O)
