Inspired Blueprints #35...Trick or Treat

I had so much fun with this sketch from Inspired Blue Prints, especially since I got to use our amazing new promotion from CTMH...the Felicity kit! It's made up strictly of patterned paper, 12" die cuts, and the cutest stamp set. So much fun and totally my colors! CTMH tends to lean towards either pinks or bright colors and I am more of an earth tone girl myself. But, these are totally earthy! ;O)
These pics are from this Halloween, I am so proud of myself for having them all done already! ;O) The little man on the left is my son and my brother is with him on the right. My brother, Will, arrived in town just before Halloween after my grandmother's heart attack. It was too late to get a decent costume, so I did my best with make-up and tried to find him a cape but didn't have any luck. So, this is how we went. He had vampire teeth and make-up, close enough I guess. He mostly wanted to be with Owen on his very first time Trick-or-Treating. What a kid won't do for candy! I was shocked how willing Owen was to go house to house in 27 degree weather and total darkness!!! These pics were taken early in the evening when we made a quick trip into town on one last attempt to find a cape while we still had a bit of daylight.

Hope you all have a great New Year's Eve, be safe!!!

Inspired Blueprints #34...Play Time

I so love the Inspired Blueprint Sketch challenges, but have not posted on their website since September! The engineer in me feels like I need to do it to count them as "done", but I'm debating whether or not it will drive everyone nutty to have all 8 of mine posted at once! ;O) Maybe I'll sneak a couple at a time into my gallery....

Anyway, this is what I came up with for this sketch. I really had a tough time with this one. I'm not a huge fan of craft paper and fitting two pictures into a circle was a challenge as well! I tried to use just the circle, but I can't bear the thought of the back of another layout showing when I put this page into a scrapbook. So, I attached the Vineyard Berry cardstock when I was finished.
Today is my last day of work for the week and then I get an extra long weekend and will be back to my normal routine...woohoo!!! I can't wait to have things back to normal!!

Mojo Monday #116

I have been so proud of myself for keeping up with both the Mojo Monday and the Inspired Blue Print sketches, but I've been so bad about posting!!! I feel like I have millions of these to share...I swear I'm going to do better in the new year, its one of my resolutions!
This was another rushed card. A customer of mine is expecting a baby girl to arrive any day and I waited forever to get her gift to her. Of course, I realized practically as I was headed out the door that I'd forgotten a card and the only baby card I had was for a boy! So, this is what I came up with...please excuse the bad lighting! ;O)

I've been trying to use up some of my ridiculously huge stack of supplies. So, most of the products used on this card have been around a while and almost all of it is CTMH! I have a sickness for CTMH products, I'm hoping to really cut back on my spending until I make a dent in what I already have...another New Year resolution! ;O)

Mojo Monday #115

O.k., so I thought I had thrown away my mother's birthday card that I posted on November 23rd. But, I found it when I was wrapping up the last of the Christmas gifts...don't ask! ;O) Unfortunately, it was not before I whipped together another one to get in the mail with their Christmas gifts. I used the Mojo Monday sketch for inspiration, but it turned out to be kind of a liberal interpretation!
The image again was a freebie from Squigglefly. I've yet to find another hummingbird stamp that I've liked as well. There's a new one out in the Spring CTMH catalog, but I don't love it like I do this one. I skipped the Jewelled Wings brush this time due to time constraints and just stuck with patterned paper from the Modern Milan stack by Me & My Big Ideas along with CTMH Cranberry and White Daisy cardstock .

Again with the Martha Stewart Double Loop corner punch as well as a circle punch from Fiskars to trim the corners of the patterned paper.

Patterned Paper: Modern Milan Stack from Me & My Big Ideas
Cardstock: CTMH Cranberry and White Daisy
Digital Stamp: Squigglefly Hummingbird
Stamps: CTMH Say it in Style
Ink: Tsukineko Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black and CTMH Kiwi (Retired)
CTMH Cranberry Ribbon and Dimensional Ribbon Accents (Retired), Copic markers, Basic Grey brads, and Robin's Nest Dew Drops

Mojo Monday #114

Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!! I'm hoping things start to slow down and I can get back to a more typical routine. I have Mojo #113 done, but keep forgetting to get a picture on the few days we have enough daylight...it's been so overcast, even during "daylight" which is between 10 and 4ish these days, I'm having trouble getting decent shots. So, bear with me, we celebrated Winter Solstice on the 21st, so its only a matter of time now before we start seeing the sun again! ;O) You gotta love Alaska!
I knew as soon as I saw this sketch that I had to use our Around the Block stamp set. I got the idea to make it into a Gingerbread house from Karen Pedersen, she's so creative and always thinks outside the box! I'm so jealous of that! I also used CTMH Jingle paper and Tulip cardstock, Martha Stewart punch for the peppermints, lots of Stickles, various sparkles including our new Bitty Sparkles which I can't get enough of, EK Success corner rounder for the scallops and Offray ribbon (from Jo-Ann's). The house is embossed with CTMH White Daisy embossing powder onto some really old craft looking cardstock, I don't have a clue what company made it as I've had it forever. But, craft paper or CTMH Brown Bag cardstock would work just as well.
I used my only Martha Stewart corner punch on the inside (I think its called Double Loop) which you will see a lot as its my only one and I'm on a weird kick to use it on the inside of cards lately. I added a couple bitty sparkles for some extra bling. The sentiment is from Christmas Greetings set and the presents are stamped using Jingle Borders stamp set with Momento Tuxedo Black ink then colored with Copics and covered with Stickles. This one was kind of last minute, so I didn't get a picture of it until after we'd signed it.

Mojo Monday #111...Finally!

I told you I'd get around to it! ;O) I LOVE LOVE LOVE this paper by BoBunny called 'Tis the Season. I'm not typically a huge fan of their paper, but I also really love their Snowy Serenade Line and bought a few sheets of that as well. I'm especially loving the trend this year to mix in some Crystal Blue and Cocoa with the more traditional reds and greens for the Christmas paper! I've noticed several companies are doing that including a really beautiful line by SEI called Christmas Mint...I haven't bought any yet as they I haven't noticed it here in town, but I am super tempted!

For this card I added Cranberry, Crystal Blue and White Daisy Cardstock. The bear is from the Chillin' set, the mistletoe and tree are from Wonderful Winter, and the sentiment is Say it in Style. I used copics and Stickles to color in the images and added some sparkles to the tree. The brads are our Twinkle Brads.

I used Cricut Wild Card to create a gift card holder on the inside and added lots of snowflakes using a Martha Stewart punch.

Todays my Friday this week. Owen has an In-service Day at his daycare tomorrow...figure that one out! So, I had to switch up my days. It's been a long week with lots of bad roads and I am looking forward to not driving anywhere for a few days!Publish Post

A New Tradition

I've had quite a few projects done for a while now, but can't get the weather to cooperate with me! It went from overcast...to foggy....to overcast with 15 inches of snow in the last two days and more to come tomorrow. So, I'm giving up, and using what I've got. Hopefully, the pictures are adequate for now!
We started a new tradition the son's first fall of driving up to Hatcher Pass in September and just spending the day hiking and taking pictures of the amazing fall colors. There's always something to love about Alaska's scenery, but I think our falls, although short lived, are the most amazing time of year to be here!

I used the Inspired Blueprint Sketch #32 for this one and had a lot of fun with it. I tried to take a walk on the wild side and mix up my paper packs...I know crazy wild right! ;O) The top two (green and brown plaid) are from Twitterpated, flowered paper is Caprice, and the blue is from Notebook. The stamp sets were also all from CTMH, Chocolate Alpha Large and Small, You're a Hoot, Whoo Loves You (Mushrooms in Lower Right), and the Twitterpated Kit Exclusive Stamp Set (branch, leaves, and hedgehog...although, I tried to make him into a porcupine). The flowers are from the Chocolate Mini Medley kit and they are topped with Bitty Brads. I threw in some Crystal Blue and Cocoa Cardstock, a Martha Stewart punch, some retired paper leaves, and twill ribbon to finish it off.

Baby Book...Month 2

I started this layout so long ago, I can't even begin to tell you what site I took the layout from.  It's a little rough, but, I go...
