Mojo Monday Baby Shower!

Yaaay!  I finally got a chance to play a little this week and even had a good excuse!  I have a baby shower today and needed a card.  I was counting earlier, including me, I've known six different people that have had babies since September of 2011 and I know five more having babies between May and this September!!  It's like there's something in the water lately! ;O)  Stay clear of Alaska if you don't want a bundle of your own!!

I played along with this week's Mojo Monday sketch and used my favorite digi stamp from Meljen's Designs.  Believe it or not, she still has it in her freebies here!!  They currently have a blog challenge to use one of their stamps with pink and green.  Wish I had checked before I did this card...I may just have to do another one! ;O)

Christmas Already?

Digital Delights by Louby Lou had a Design Team call last month. I considered applying, but then with all the illnesses we had last month, I never found the time to complete the projects. I was so glad to stumble across her website however! She even has "Freebie Friday" where she gives away a new image every week. How great is that!!! Anyway, this is the image she was giving the week I found her, Maggie. Isn't she too cute? Anyway, it got me in the Christmas spirit and I used the current sketch on the same website to put it together. The paper is an old Christmas stack from DCWV and I added Tulip cardstock and a green cardstock from an old DCWV Spring Cardstock pack. The ribbon came from the Animal Cookies Creative Basics kit and the sentiment is from Say It in Style stamp set. I colored her in with Copics, added lots of stickles, and Robin's Nest Dew Drops. That's it! I look forward to Friday's and Louby Lou's latest give away now!!! Not to mention my ridiculously long wish list...she has tons of cute owl images!!!! ;O)

Beary Much and Mojo 95!

A friend asked me to help her put together a card for a family that just had a baby boy. I realized after she asked that not only do I not have many baby stamps, I have even less baby paper! I guess my little man is getting too big for it...so hard to take! ;O) Anyway, I used the Mojo Monday sketch from Week 95 and come up with this card.

The stamps are all CTMH, Beary Much, Now and Forever for the sentiment, and Baby Steps for the safety pin on the inside. The inside sentiment was printed using my computer and a font called Porcelain that I got off a free font website. I used Nana's Nursery Baby Boy paper from DCWV, along with Twighlight and Sweet Leaf cardstock to accent it. Then finished it up with Robin's Nest Dew drops and some ribbon from JoAnns.
I've hauled it to a scrap night so that she could use it as a guideline, so it looks a little disheveled, I'll have to fix it. Nothing like looking at a picture to notice the faults!

A friend in Nome, Sara Koenig, has put together a 100 pages for preemies campaign which will be donated to the mothers of preemie babies born at Providence hospital in Anchorage. Sara's second son was born at 30 weeks and was just 4lbs 4oz at Providence a couple years ago. Donating the pages to the preemie mom's is Sara's way of paying tribute to all the doctors/nurses that helped her and her family and being there in a small way for the new preemie moms. I think its a wonderful thing she's doing and try to participate every time she decides to put a group together. This time, she required the title to be, "A Special Delivery for a Special Mom", a spot for journaling, and two 4x6 photo mats all on a single 12x12 page. It was quite the challenge for me! My titles are usually only a couple of words and spread across two pages! ;o)

Baby Book...Month 2

I started this layout so long ago, I can't even begin to tell you what site I took the layout from.  It's a little rough, but, I go...
