Hanauma Bay

One more page down!! I just love this sketch from Inspired Blue Prints and can't wait to try it on a 12x12.
My layouts are getting simpler with every page I do for Shawnie's album, but I think sometimes that's o.k.. Again, I used Boom-Di-Ada paper pack with Hollyhock cardstock. The only stamping I did was with Charm Uppercase Alpha in Goldrush ink on Buttercup paper. I added real shells from the beach, Jolee's Boutique stickers, and a butterfly punch I've had forever that has no brand name on it with a mini sparkle for its head.

I've had this picture of my uncle comforting my little boy since June of last year. I was going to print it out and then give it to my aunt. But, decided it would be even better to give it to her in a picture frame....a frame that I made....what was I thinking!! ;O) I'm so not a project making girl. I regretted starting this almost as soon as I started, but I made up my mind that I was going to do this, so I had to finish. So, here's the final outcome!!

I used More To Adore paper and Homestead Alpha with Hollyhock ink. I covered the whole thing with several coats of Modge Podge after using a spray-on adhesive to adhere the paper. I added CTMH Big Pinks, Chocolate Mini Medley (tiny brown flowers), Bazzil Basics (small brown flowers), Hollyhock brads and White Daisy mini brads, CTMH sparkles, retired dimensional elements, Love Letters Rub-ons in Chocolate ("Happiness Is"), Hollyhock ribbon and Making Memories Jumbo Pebble brads. Of course, my little man's initials are O.W.L., so it had to have an owl. So, the final touch was the brown owl rub-on from Hambly Screen Prints' Out on a Limb collection.

Rainbows

Once again, having visitors has put me behind. But, I've had the chance to do a little here and there during my two week break between guests. Unfortunately, I had to work different hours and managed to catch a nasty cold in the meantime. So, I haven't accomplished as much as I'd hoped. I had great intentions of wrapping up all of my sisters pages by now, but not so much!O.k., so the title is cheesy, but I am aiming to finish these in the near future and still have about 5 more pages to go! So, "Over The Rainbow" it is!! I did have a little fun though....I used The Works Alpha for the "Over The" and cut out "Rainbow" on Colonial White cardstock with my Cricut. I sponged Buttercup, Blush, and SweetLeaf ink onto the letters. I used Summer Posies, CTMH mini sparkles and a flower sparkle from an old Connections Club, Jolee's Boutique stickers, and Robin's Nest Dew Drops. The layout is Sketch #25 from Inspired Blueprints.

Mojo Monday On Time!

I can't believe it, I managed to complete a Mojo Monday sketch in the same week it was posted! This is only my second time ever!! ;O) This one uses the "Bearly Adequate Daffodil" image from Angel's Landing digi set called Mini Bears and Birds. I absolutely love this set and have even wore out one of my brown copic markers coloring them!!! I started out planning to use the Wisteria paper from Basic Grey that are beautiful purples and pastel colors. But...while I was digging it out, I saw my Lime Rickey paper!!! I have been hoarding both sets and was excited to actually pull it out and use it. This card is for my aunt and she is just crazy enough to love it! ;O)

Besides the Basic Grey paper pack, I used DCWV pink cardstock, CTMH Sunkiss Yellow cardstock, Citrus Leaf and Hollyhock ink pads, Tender Tags and Today's Date stamps, Prima flowers, and Hero Arts adhesive pearls.

You've Got Flair!

I've had the July Stamp of the Month-You've Got Flair-for a couple of weeks now and finally found an excuse to use it...my Uncle's Birthday card. I was sooo excited to get this set and then couldn't seem to find the time to use it.

I used the Mojo Monday sketch from Week 97 for this one. I embossed the stamp with clear embossing powder from Craft Essentials, sponged Dutch Blue ink over top of it using the emboss resist technique, and finished by coloring it in with Copic markers. The paper and cardstock are from the Serendipity paper pack. Finished it up with a From Me to You sentiment and added a few adhesive pearls..they're still manly, right? ;O)

Nakalele Blowhole

I really struggled with this layout. It was tough to accommodate two portrait direction pictures on a 9x9 layout and have it look right. I loosely based this layout on the left side of the "Clear Dimension" sketch in CTMH's Cherish book. I'm not sure I love the my version of the layout, but I am still happy with how the page turned out. I can't get enough of these Martha Stewart punched butterflies!! They are just gorgeous...well, at least I think so! ;O) I also used my Cricut to cut the title, mini sparkles, K&Company Rhinestones (colored ones for butterflies), Cottage Flowers stamp set, EK Success Stick Tile Stickers, and We R Memory Keepers Flowers & Swirls adhesive rub on kit.

Beary Much and Mojo 95!

A friend asked me to help her put together a card for a family that just had a baby boy. I realized after she asked that not only do I not have many baby stamps, I have even less baby paper! I guess my little man is getting too big for it...so hard to take! ;O) Anyway, I used the Mojo Monday sketch from Week 95 and come up with this card.

The stamps are all CTMH, Beary Much, Now and Forever for the sentiment, and Baby Steps for the safety pin on the inside. The inside sentiment was printed using my computer and a font called Porcelain that I got off a free font website. I used Nana's Nursery Baby Boy paper from DCWV, along with Twighlight and Sweet Leaf cardstock to accent it. Then finished it up with Robin's Nest Dew drops and some ribbon from JoAnns.
I've hauled it to a scrap night so that she could use it as a guideline, so it looks a little disheveled, I'll have to fix it. Nothing like looking at a picture to notice the faults!

Tropical Plantation

One more page down! I haven't decided if I want to add any journaling. It seems like it needs something more in the lower right, but overall, I really loved this sketch from Inspired Blueprints and hope to do it again in the 12x12 size.

I continued to use the Boom-Di-Ada paper pack, the Works Alpha stamp set, Jolee's Boutique stickers, and Robin's Nest Dew drops.

Waikiki Sunset

I've been chugging away at these layouts for my sister's scrapbook and have finished quite a few. They are pretty simple, but, I've really enjoyed them! This one was a photo I took from Waikiki Beach on our last night. Hawaii is probably the only place I've ever vacationed that was hard to leave!! We try to go every year, but, this year we put in a fence and finished our front yard instead...so not the same!!!

I used Sketch #23 from Inspired Blueprints on this one. I continued using the Boom-Di-Ada paper pack, die cuts from the Serendipity pack, The Works Alpha stamp, bitty sparkles, and some actual sea shells!

My Favorite Technique

I absolutely love the emboss resist technique and recently showed my mother-in-law how to do it. I think she's addicted now! Here's a few of the papers I did while demonstrating for her. So, much fun!! Now, I just need to use them!

The snowflake version uses New Fallen Snow as well as a few tiny stamps from various other sets. I used Creme Brulee, Twighlight, and Outdoor Denim inks and of course, Craft Essentials (JoAnn's brand) clear embossing powder with Versa Mark on Colonial White cardstock as I did on all 3 pages.

This is the Tickled Pink, Cottage Floral, and Butterfly Wings stamp sets with Crystal Blue, Creme Brulee, and Sweet Leaf inks. My goal was to make it look manly...not sure that worked out real well. I completely botched the Versa Mark stamping of the flower in the middle, but when I use the paper, I think I can work around it. That large flower is a tough one to stamp consistently and tough to re-stamp especially when you are using clear ink!!

The last one is my favorite! This one strictly used the Autumn Splendor stamp set with New England Ivy, Goldrush, Barn Red, and Cocoa inks. As you can see I cut it down the middle and started to use it on one of my layouts before I realized it wasn't going to work because I stamped the words all one direction and needed the paper to go both directions. Lesson learned the hard way!! ;O)

Baby Book...Month 2

I started this layout so long ago, I can't even begin to tell you what site I took the layout from.  It's a little rough, but, I go...
